Juliette Lewis and the LicksEver have a song stuck in your head? We’ve admired Juliette Lewis’ acting ability ever since her 1994 work in Natural Born Killers with Woody Harrelson, in an Oliver Stone epic about the casual, random nature of violence in our lives. But we had no idea the woman could sing! Where have we been? She’s shown here at the Eurockéennes de Belfort in Malsaucy, France (one of France’s largest rock festivals), held this year between 29 June and 1 July.

In its December 2006 issue, Blender magazine included her in their Hottest Women of…Rock! article, writing that Lewis “delivered sonically varnished melodic punk replete with purring vocals and lyrics that bash porn, pharmaceutical companies and rotten lovers (in no particular order).” We’re not quite sure we get the faux Indian garb, harkening back to some of Madonna’s more notable streetwalker outfits, but the song is certainly powerfully delivered. Enjoy!

Listen to some great music from the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
