A WordPress Tattoo for the Ultimate WordPress Fan

While trolling the Internet today, we ambled over to Lorelle’s blog and learned — much to our surprise — that someone loves WordPress enough that they’ve had themselves permanently tattooed with the WordPress logo. No, we’re not kidding. (And yes, WordPress is a brand name.)

The World's First Permanent WordPress Tattoo

It seems that Ed Morita of Hawaii has pledged his eternal love to the WordPress blogging platform as the culmination of a “Where Should I Put My WordPress Tattoo?” contest. Morita got his tattoo yesterday, on an inside wrist (forearm). A baker by trade, Morita, who takes his tats seriously, said he got inked with the WordPress logo because “I have been a blogger in some form or another since 2004, and I have been using WordPress for most of that time (There was the time when I used Blogger, but I was young and stupid, and didn’t know any better). But, the point is that five years is a long time to be using any sort of brand. WordPress has been a big part of my life and, like other big things in my life, I think that it is time for me to get inked.”

While we’re also huge WordPress fans, tats in general don’t float our boat and honestly, it seems a bit much to get tattooed with a brand name…What’s next, a Google tattoo? A Twitter tattoo? Facebook, anyone?
