Dumbest Campaign Promises Yet

Pajamadeen tuned in to last night’s Faux News GOP Presidential debate, televised from Durham, New Hampshire with the perky title of “First in The Fall.” She thought she’d like to know where the candidates stood on the issues du jour. It wasn’t perhaps one of her better ideas; she’s not so sure she wants to know what these people are thinking, based on last night’s broadcast.

Congressman Duncan HunterWinner of the dumbest-campaign-promise-yet award goes to Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-Calif.), who promised completion of a southern border fence within six months of his election. Ironically, Hunter began his career by opening a storefront legal office where he frequently provided pro bono legal assistance to the San Diego. . . Hispanic community. Go figure.

Runner-up Dumbo was former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee. As part of his plan to stop illegal immigration, he wants FedEx to take over our visa tracking, since they do such a great job tracking his Amazon.com orders. No, we’re not making that up. All in all, it was an appalling evening.
